September 2015 Traffic Report
Thank you for visiting our eigth traffic report!

Just like we are sharing out daily people reached on our Facebook posts, we want you to know how God is using your faithfulness to share His Word with others.

We posted 30 videos in the month of September which increases the total to 273. We also posted 2 eBooks which brings the total to 23. Get those eBooks here.

Traffic
Traffic for September only increased 1% over August. We averaged over 668 page views per day in September which was up from 641 in August! We hit over 4661 unique visitors for the month which is only 20 more than last month! We sort of hit a plateau in September which is okay. This just proves that growth is not guaranteed and we need to continue share and reach as many people as possible!

Email List
48.71% of our traffic came from our email list in September. This is a little lower than last month which is fine. Our email list grew over 15% in September from 1,199 to 1,387. This increase is smaller than last month as well! I have done a few things to help increase this for the month of October and I will tell you about that in a section below. If you are not on our email list please sign up here so you can get each video delivered daily.
Social
22.98% of our traffic came from social which is an increase of more than 4% from what we had in August. The software we started using in August is working. Hopefully the more we use it the more it will increase our traffic coming from social sites. My plan was to increase our presence on Instagram but was not able to do so. If you are not following our Instagram account you can do that HERE. We are going to try and do a better job in September. If you have Instagram please follow us! I know more and more traffic is coming from organic search which is awesome but would love to see our social traffic increase back to 30%. Please help us get there by liking and sharing on social!

I fixed my YouTube analytics problem by removing the plugin that was cause YouTube to not count my views on the website but I did not do it until halfway through September so these numbers are still a little off but they are way closer than last months.
September minutes added together equals 81 days and 6 hours.

SEO
I am adding a new section to this report for SEO (Search Engine Optimization). People finding this site by performing a search in Google or Bing or Yahoo is very important! We really want the % of our visitors coming to our site from one of these search engines to increase each month and it has been! Our first month 5% of our traffic came from search. It is important that this number increases each month.
August – 13%
September – 12.5%
Expenses
Our expenses increases some because we are growing which is awesome! The software we are using for Social Sharing has really helped with our traffic from social but we had to increase our package! Our cost for our email list also increased because we now have more than 1,000 people on our email list which is great!
Hosting (HostGator) – $9.95/Month
Social Sharing (SlackSocial) – $14.00/Month (Increased Social Shares per/day from 125 – 250)
Email List (MailChimp) – $19.35/Month (Cost increased when we hit 1,000 email subscribers)
YouTube Managment (TubeBuddy) – $11.40/Month

Revenue
We just started an affiliate shopping page . If you shop on Amazon or Christian Book Distributors you can go to our shopping page and click on the banner of the site you want to shop on and any item you buy on that website we will earn a small commission of the total sale. We will be listing all the revenue that we make with this affiliate shopping page. Hopefully this can cover the costs that are mentioned above and even allow us to do some more things to help share the teaching of God’s Word!

What we did in September
We are continuing to focus on SEO. We are getting more traffic from search each and every month which is great! These are people searching for God’s Word and we are helping them find it! The more people that visit our site the higher the rankings are in the search engine which causes more people to visit our site.
We also added a few more affiliate links to our shopping site. You can now shop on Family Christian Book Store and Kerusso. When you shop at these sites we will make a small commission on the total sale price. This will not increase the amount you will pay. We really appreciate it when you use our shopping page to shop on Amazon!
What we have planned for October
We are going to continue doing what we are doing. We started using TubeBuddy which helps us manage our YouTube channel. Right now we are using it to add custom cover art for our YouTube videos. Below is an example.
